KAI Square has developed a video surveillance platform that leverages on the Telco infrastructure to change the surveillance landscape, allowing live footages to be transmitted and received securely through 3G/4G networks. These surveillance cameras use intelligence analytics such as virtual fencing, intruder detection and face recognition that can instantly notify users.

  
 
Brief description of proposed R&D project:
 
  We are currently exploring the following:

1) Video Surveillance
Create a cloud computing platform for interactive video analysis. The platform will be hosted at the Telco facility and should be highly scalable. There must be ease of use for users to change, update and reset the analytics functions.

2) Intelligent Text and Image Processing
Develop a generic object recognition system which is based on a combining visual information and textual information

3) Driver and Licence Plate Recognition
Detecting car licence plate and combining face recognition for the driver in a carpark environment so as to prevent car theft.
