Brief description of proposed R&D project:
 
  Joint Development for a 12" Wafer Inspection system for macro and micro inspection covering 2D parameters like surface defects and post saw inspection for pattern wafer. CEI has the material handling robotics solution and need a vision partner in this joint development. A good reference of similar solution are players like Camtek, Rudolph/August.

The target market is the wafer manufacturing process. The market is for Asia. CEI also have the customer or market network but lack the vision technology.

The R&D will include vision development, optic, lighting, robotics, software development and networking. The development site will likely to be in Singapore.		  
 
Desired Profile of R&D Partner and its role in the proposed project:
 
  The R&D partner is to complement CEI and provide the vision solution and is a specialist in this field. The R&D partner should be very focus and keen to explore working with an Asian partner and looking at entry to Asian market.
