Retriva Solutions Pte. Ltd. (Retriva) is a software technology company under the National University of Singapore (NUS) Entrepreneurship program. Founded by 2 graduates from School of Computing, NUS in May 2003, its main product is an information retrieval application, known as Personalised Information System (PIS).
PIS is applicable for various research intensive industries however it is currently niched for researchers in the bio-medical field. The biomedical version of PIS is known as PISMEC. PIS automatically categorise articles into appropriate categories and these articles are then route to every researcher base on their individual profile (area of research or their interest).
Retriva clients include some of the biomedical communities in Singapore.
Retriva is looking to further expand PIS applicability to other areas.

Brief description of proposed R&D project:

Retriva's PIS engine requires text classification components to work with Retriva's user profiling engine.
We hope to integrate these 2 components seamlessly. As such Retriva is looking for text classifying engines and data visualization tools. The prototype of this engine should be deployed in a research institution to test out its functionality and its usefulness.

Desired Profile of R&D Partner and its role in the proposed project:

The partner should either have text classification, processing engine and be well versed with artificial intelligence. We are also looking for partners with data visualization experience.
