Imagine a world where the spoken word is enough to get things done, when
being “put-on-hold” is a phrase of the past, a world where you the caller,
ask for what you want, in the way you want – this is the vision of Poly
Information.
In current Call Center’s Voice Response systems, we are prompted for
information. We answering? Isn’t the idea supposed to be that the system
answers us? Do we have to teach humans how to answer the computer? Poly
took a unique approach, rather than teaching the computer a language (the
technology is not there yet), we decided to attack the problem with a novel
approach – the conversation, and provide a practical, cost effective
solution, that works now.
Whatever the reason, be it to enhance caller experience, to save money on
replacing live agents with automated systems, or to enable swift and
efficient access to information and override annoying voice menus, a
natural conversational interface is the way to go!
Present call center technology has been refined to such degree, that all
the agent has to do is read from the screen and insert the required
information –this automated process, in a limited context space is the
essence of Poly Information's solution.
Poly Information supplies an advanced Interactive Speech Response (ISR)
called Angel which enables the planning, construction, implementation,
maintenance and operation of a conversational speech interface between man
and machine (the computer).The platform enables a speech interface
involving several content vectors, allowing maximum flexibility in reaching
the organizational goals. The resulting speech service and its components
can be simply created and implemented and the maintenance is convenient and
user friendly.
Company Info:
Poly Information was established in February 2000 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and
floated on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) under the symbol PLY on March
11, 2005. Since incorporation the company has been engaged in software
development into sophisticated voice recognition applications with the
purpose of developing marketing and selling software tools which enable a
computer to identify and respond to the spoken word, using Speech
Recognition tools and Artificial Intelligence. The third version of Poly
Information’s conversational platform is now being developed and the
company’s primary focus is to provide Interactive Speech Response (ISR)
systems to call centers throughout the world.
Current Status:
Poly Information has partnered with several leaders in the "Speech"
industry, to offer an integrated solution. Our customer base includes
organizations with vertical applications in the financial industry and in
the health care industry.
Future:
Poly Information aims to ramp up its technological development in order to
strengthen and further establish the Company's value. We deem this the

The R&D project would be
integrating Poly's platform within the partner product / system.
It required also customization dictated by the difference in the culture
and language. It also includes integration tasks between the systems, such as
communication protocols and speech standards requirements.
