Brief description of proposed R&D project:

Games Café intend to establish the required infrastructure for Games on Demand at the Internet Café.

Internet Café is well established in many countries all over the world to provide Internet Services to local people who do not have Internet services at home or people away from home or office. The Internet Café charge user time of usage or may have different type of subscription or packages.

The Games Café project assumes that further introduction of Video/Reach Content Games into the Internet Café, making such games available instantaneously and affordably for the users, will increase its attractiveness of Internet Café chain, and in turn, increase the utilization of the PCs in these chains.

The Games Café solution offers hundreds of games to Internet Café denizens using a centralized Management Server. Users will be able to launch high quality games with a single click of the mouse, allowing for a rich experience, including multiple genres, from MMO to RTS and FPS, from a variety of tier-1 publishers, including Ubisoft, Microsoft, Eidos, Vivendi and others.

The system allows easy management of games on the end-users PC and do not require installation of games on such machines. Instead, an innovative streaming platform delivers the game in real-time to the end-user machine and is full-proof against users deleting or changing the software on the end-PC.

The Games Café software will manage the individual users keeping their history information as well as saved information. Each user being registered with its Game Café operator will be able to return and go-on with unfinished games. The system is designed for ease of use and for flexible business models.
