Brief description of proposed R&D project:

Inmatrix provides software applications for digital media file playback and management for Windows and USB/U3 portable devices. Our intention in possible cooperation scenarios involves the fusing of Inmatrix technology and knowledge with other hardware and/or software manufacturers' own technologies, products, services and know-how to create new products, etc, dedicated to Digital signage, Home Theatre (in which we have a technological edge and experience) or other new fields the other party may come up with. Alternatively, we also seek cooperation with system integrators who combine various hardware and / or software products/technologies to provide new products. In this category we can fuse our tech, know-how and products with theirs to enhance existing products or to create together new ones.

Following is a list of areas which Inmatrix is keen to develop:

1. HW/SW Media players, managers, controllers – Inmatrix can contribute the following knowledge and experience for such projects:
-    Enterprise/wide scale/WAN Digital Signage hardware / software system
-    Multi-zone / wide area media player & controller for entertainment systems or complete entertainment systems
-    Web-based media players for a variety of purposes
-    Server-Client applications for media playback/control
-    Distributable client software

2. Digital Signage & advertising systems (standalone, networked) – Inmatrix can contribute the following knowledge and experience for such projects:
-    Local (or standalone) Digital Signage systems/applications for point of sale
-    Local network Digital Signage systems/applications for small to medium stores 
-    Wide network Digital Signage systems/applications for large chain stores / networks, with centralized management & control

3. Home Theatre PCs / applications – Inmatrix can contribute the following knowledge and experience for such projects:
-    Advanced media playback applications for high-end HTPC systems
-    New HTPC systems that handle H264 and other high grade video

4. Media Center PCs / applications – Inmatrix can contribute the following knowledge and experience for such projects:
-    Media playback applications for MC personal computers, personal use
-    Media playback / management / control applications for commercial use (e.g., cafes, restaurants, lounges, waiting rooms, etc)

5. Media control / training / center – Inmatrix can contribute the following knowledge and experience for such projects:
-    Media playback / management / control in standalone training & instructional systems
