Company
Profile, Products & Technologies, Target Market
Green Vision Systems
Ltd. (GVS) develops manufactures and markets advanced hyper-spectral
imaging equipment and software for identification and classification of
organic and manmade pollutants in the air, soil and water for the
Environmental Monitoring and the Homeland Security markets.
The
Company’s proprietary technology provides high-sensitive near
real-time solutions that identify and classify various types of
multi-particle compounds, without damaging the products/materials under
examination.
Integrated in
electronic imaging-based systems, the core technology is applied to
reduce or eliminate major risks and threats. The systems are designed
for ongoing monitoring enhanced by networks, shared data bases and
adaptive (learning) algorithms.
The main advantages of the GVS technology are: high spectral and
spatial resolution, versatile spectral ranges {SUV; VIS; SWIR; LWIR},
fully controlled by user, near real-time and easy to modify software in
order to meet application needs.
Brief
description of proposed R&D project:
Human activities can alter the amount,
nature, and geographic distribution of atmospheric aerosols, and thus
expose large communities to harmful aerosols. On top of the said above,
Homeland Security (HLS) activities places Chemical and Biological
agents as part of the main threats in global terrorism today. Those
threats, drives the western world to place significant resources in
order to quickly identify and classify those kind of threats. To reduce
ambient particulate matter (PM) one needs to determine the origin of
the observed PM and the relative and absolute contributions from the
identified sources.
The proposed R&D Project aims to
collect different environmental Hyper Spectral Imaging (HSI) signature
as well as define Chemical and Biological threats HSI signatures,
characterize their composition of inorganic, organic, and biological
particulate matter suspended in air and water or contained in porous
matrices such as soil using a near real time HSI System.
Desired
Profile of R&D Partner and its role in the proposed R&D
project:
The Desired Profile of R&D Partner
should be a company related either to the Environmental Monitoring
market or to the Homeland Security market or to both. The Partner
Company should be capable of collecting samples of air, water and soil
using GVS hyper spectral imaging tools and methods.
An Environmental Monitoring Company will be
capable of collecting outdoor samples of "normal" and
pollutant Air and water, while an HLS related company will be targeting
sampling potential indoor environments in order to characterize
the "normal background clatter" that Biological and/or
Chemical threats can appear within it. Both types of companies can have
capabilities of modeling (clutter and threats) analyzing and evaluating
threats and anomalies in PM for future/present characterization of
early warning systems and/or man made Pollutant particles and aerosols
based on the Hyper Spectral Imaging (HIS) threats signature.
