"FOUR Singapore-Israel joint research and development projects worth some US$2.8 million have received fresh funding..." - TODAY, Singapore: Apr 1, 2008

Next project proposal submission deadline is

Dr Eliezer Opper, Chief Scientist, Israel, "The mission of SIIRD is to support R&D projects of high novelty. We have realized that, while we support R&D projects of high novelty, companies are able to spend more resources on developmental projects that are of lower novelty. Projects of higher novelty tend to spin off more economic benefits." - Lian He Zao Bao, Singapore: Feb 23, 2008

"Next year, SIIRD will spend US$3 million to sponsor more joint R&D projects in areas such as clean technologies, alternative energies such as fuel cell and tidal power, telematics and digital media."  - Business Times, Singapore: Nov 15, 2007
